Project Title
DNA Methylation Analysis Of A Subset Of Children From The Canadian Asthma Primary Prevention Study
Required
Project Description

The Canadian Asthma Primary Prevention Study (CAPPS) is a prospective longitudinal birth cohort developed to study the impact of a multi-faceted early life intervention on the development of asthma in children at high risk. DNA methylation (DNAm) analysis was performed on some participants with the aim of identifying new CpG sites where DNAm is associated with asthma or allergic disease. Illumina Methyl capture EPIC data was generated from cord blood or whole blood in children on at least one of the following three time points: at birth, year 7 and year 15. Methyl capture data was generated for 114 mothers as well. DNA methylation data at two time points are available for 99 children; and for 89 children at three time points.
